Skape for organizations

Buying Skape for a museum, a municipality, a region or a company? This page collects what procurement usually asks about. If something's missing, ask us at hello@skap.es.

Before you buy: none of the Skape apps are published yet. Until they are, we help the teams we work with get test versions onto their phones.

How buying works

  1. Ask us for access. Accounts are by request for now. Tell us a little about your project, and we'll set you up.
  2. Build and test for free. Invite your team and test on site with the app. Public publishing needs paid or complimentary capacity.
  3. Choose capacity for your team. A team owner chooses Basic for one live project or Pro for up to ten under Billing, with monthly or yearly Mollie payments. Online checkout currently supports billing addresses in Sweden; for other countries or custom terms, ask us for an Enterprise quote.
  4. Enterprise invoices are agreed in your quote, including the period and payment terms, in euros. Swedish customers pay Swedish VAT. Customers in other EU countries with a VAT number are invoiced with reverse charge. If your organization needs an e-invoice through Peppol, tell us when you ask for a quote.
  5. You decide which projects go live. Buying a plan doesn't publish them. Online plans renew automatically; a team owner can stop future renewal in Billing while keeping the period already paid for.

Prices are on the pricing page. For more than ten published projects, or custom terms, talk to us. Our terms of service apply to every purchase.

Selected organizations can receive complimentary publishing capacity, with an expiry or until revoked. No payment or automatic renewal is required. When it ends, projects already covered by a retained paid plan keep their remaining paid access; other projects need publishing coverage.

Data protection

  • Roles. We're responsible for the account data of the people who use Skape. When your project contains personal data, like an interview or a recorded voice, your organization is the controller and we're the processor.
  • Data processing agreement. Our data processing agreement is part of our terms and applies to every team automatically. If you need your own, such as the PUB-avtal template from SKR (Sweden's association of municipalities and regions), send it over and we'll go through it with you.
  • Where data is. Projects and accounts are stored in Stockholm, Sweden, and skap.es runs in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Project files are also cached on Supabase's content delivery network, so they load quickly where listeners are. Supabase, which stores the data, is a company in Singapore, and Fly.io, which runs skap.es, is an American company. The privacy policy lists every service that handles data, where it is and how transfers are covered.
  • Authorities. We hand over customer data to authorities only when EU or Swedish law requires it, and we tell you unless the law forbids it. Project data is stored and carried by Supabase on Amazon Web Services, by Fly.io and, for live audio streams, by Cloudflare. Amazon, Fly.io and Cloudflare are American companies, so US law can in some cases require them to hand over data they hold.
  • Changes. We email account holders at least 30 days before we start using a new service that gets access to project content, or as soon as we know if we have to switch at short notice.

Security

What we do today:

  • All traffic to skap.es and the app is encrypted (HTTPS), and browsers are told never to connect without it.
  • Only members of a project's team can open it in the studio, and only they can see each other's live position when they're on site.
  • Team API keys, like an Anthropic key, are stored encrypted.
  • Location and camera data is removed from JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC images uploaded in the studio, and the location that phones record is removed from MP4 and MOV video and M4A audio. The app removes the location from photos added to notes. This applies to files uploaded on or after October 7, 2026.
  • The database is backed up every day, and backups are kept for seven days.
  • We look inside a project only when you ask for help, when we need to fix a problem, when we handle a report about it, or when the law requires it.
  • If a personal data breach affects your projects, we tell you without undue delay, so you can meet your own 72-hour deadline to report it.

What we don't have yet:

  • Files in projects aren't behind sign-in yet. They're stored at long, hard-to-guess web addresses, but anyone who has a file's exact address can open it. We're changing that.
  • There's no two-step sign-in yet. Accounts are protected by a password, or by your Google, GitHub or Figma sign-in.
  • We don't have an ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certification of our own, we haven't had an external penetration test, and there's no bug bounty. Our database provider, Supabase, is ISO 27001 certified and audited against SOC 2 Type 2, and our hosting provider, Fly.io, is audited against SOC 2 Type 2.

Support and the end of a period

  • Write to hello@skap.es. A person reads every message and replies within two business days, in Swedish or English. Enterprise adds an agreed response time, onboarding and a contact person.
  • We don't promise a specific uptime. If planned work may affect published projects, we tell you in advance. Listeners who saved a project for offline use can play it without a connection.
  • When publishing coverage ends, affected projects become unavailable to listeners. They stay in your account, and you can publish them again later.
  • You can export any project as a file whenever you want, including every audio, image and video file in it. If you leave, you have at least 30 days to export before we delete anything.

Accessibility

We haven't had Skape checked against EN 301 549 (WCAG 2.1 AA) yet. That's the standard Swedish public bodies follow under their digital accessibility law (DOS-lagen). If your organization needs an accessibility statement for an experience made with Skape, tell us before you buy. Together, we'll go through what the app supports today and what your project needs.
