# Skape > Skape is a platform for creating location-based audio walks, sound installations and interactive experiences with maps, node graphs and screens. Agents read and edit team projects through its authenticated MCP server. **When to use Skape:** Use Skape when a user wants to understand an existing Skape project, plan an audio walk, explain which sounds play in which areas, build location-triggered audio logic, or create interactive screens with their team's uploaded assets. Use the studio for uploading files, publishing experiences, managing teams and billing. **How to call Skape:** Connect a remote MCP client to https://skap.es/mcp over Streamable HTTP. Complete OAuth sign-in with a client that supports Client ID Metadata Documents (CIMD), then let the user choose teams and Read or Read & build access. Reading requires `skape:read`; building also requires `skape:write` and the user's team role. Clients that require dynamic client registration cannot connect. Agents read and edit a project by running JavaScript against the Skape SDK, a Figma-style document tree. Start with `skape_list_projects` and choose the user's intended project. Read and preview with `skape_query`, which never saves; change the project with `skape_edit`, one whole change per script. A script that throws saves nothing, so fix it and send all of it again. Use a fresh `idempotencyKey` for each `skape_edit`; if a network failure leaves the outcome uncertain, retry identical arguments and the same key. `skape_docs` returns the SDK guide and exact type declarations; the agent guide below explains the SDK, undo and worked scripts. **Getting started and testing:** A Skape account and a team are required. Signup, building and testing are free. OAuth sign-in authorizes the MCP connection; there is no API key to generate. There is no separate public sandbox endpoint: create a disposable project in your own team for test edits. These are real saved projects, and deleting a whole project is permanent. The mobile app is not publicly released yet; Skape helps participating teams install test versions. ## Agent documentation - [Skape agent guide](https://skap.es/mcp/skill.md): Read before inspecting or editing a project; the Skape SDK guide with nodes, features, screens, the script rules, undo and worked examples. - [Skape developer documentation](https://skap.es/developers): Use to connect an MCP client, understand OAuth scopes and choose a safe testing workflow. - [Connect your AI to Skape](https://skap.es/ai): Use for user-facing setup, consent, team access, troubleshooting and disconnecting an AI app. - [Skape product overview](https://skap.es/index.md): Use for a concise Markdown explanation of the product and its best-fit use cases. ## Authentication metadata - [MCP protected resource metadata](https://skap.es/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp): Start OAuth discovery here for the MCP resource and its authorization server. - [OAuth authorization server metadata](https://skap.es/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server/oauth/mcp): Use the published issuer, authorization endpoint, token endpoint and supported client capabilities. ## Optional - [Skape pricing](https://skap.es/pricing): Read for free building and testing and paid publishing capacity. - [Skape support](https://skap.es/support): Read for current app availability, account help and contact details. - [Skape sitemap](https://skap.es/sitemap.xml): Find the full set of English and Swedish public pages.
